Students should be finishing up their science experiment good copy and handing it in for marking by the end of this week at the latest.
Students have been given the opportunity to hand in a rough draft to me if they so wish to get help to ensure they do well on this assignment.
Writing:
Descriptive writing (a paragraph or two of non-fiction, description.
Could be a family pet dog, a secret hideout in the attic, or an
afternoon gliding along the shoreline in a kayak) (W)
Track & Field
Track and Field is well underway with Brooksbank entering the 2nd week of practices. There is something going on almost every day of the week! In the same vein, all Intermediate students, including our class of course, rotate once during class time through each of 6 events for exposure to the nuances of the sport: they experience shot put, high jump, relays, sprints, distance running, and long jump. This afternoon we completed the second of three rotations, with the final session happening tomorrow. All students from Grades 4-7 are invited to take part. It isn't too late to join! Forms for participants are available from Mr. Kelly, our Vice Principal.
