First, we had a highly-organized "wedding" of two pencil characters this afternoon. As is often the case, there was a last-minute glitch with the music, but with many dressed in their finery, the sun shone, and the ceremony proceeded with all in attendance. The bride and groom were resplendent, the wedding party were nervous, but they were there to support the bride and the groom. Following the successful wedding, a reception followed with many lovely speeches, and one long (one could say almost interminable) speech from the large uncle in the back. Thereafter there was cake for all, snacks, and a fabulous sound system with a great selection of music to dance to. When word came that the class next door could hardly hear themselves think, we move the reception to the grassy field where the festivities continued until home time. A special thanks to all who helped in the organizing of this massive event!
