Owl pellets

Our class, and our buddy class (Mrs. Kristensen's class) got to spend an hour dissecting owl pellets to try and determine what the prey was. Some of the bones and skulls indicated mouse, rat, shrew or vole, or small bird. This might have been an activity for the squeamish to avoid, but in fact, all the students really got into it, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
